nice. strong sense of realism. this is very similar to Caspar David Friedrich's Abbey in an oak forest, which i find to be a very amazing and strong painting. Is this painting's subject matter strong enough to stand on it's own, maybe. I do feel that the tower is a little simple and my sense of interest then ends up lying in the foreground, which has been treated beautifully. The subtle sense of color and movement is strong but i feel that the canvas is an odd shape and is therefore leaving the top 2/3 of your painting empty. maybe bring in the canvas width and make the canvas taller and in doing that you can then bring the tower a bit closer to the viewer and giving us a bit more detail in it. We could then see the fog moving in and around it the texture and bricks/metal of the tower; wetting our appetite and making us want to see more of what you are hiding from us. If this is a bit to ambiguous let me know and I'll write more and explain myself better.
