EDITED TO SCRAPS: I have made a new version of this in my gallery [link]

Speedpainting using blue and red colours only. Then exploring the different values with them together. About one or two hours of painting with the wacom intuos3.

This was a school practice I enjoyed. It's a bit inspired by the ideas I had for my older painting "the Shepherd" [link]
However, I think this was more intense.

Hope you enjoy. I might pick it up again and work it out if I get time.

Whoa, this touches parts of the brain I'm not convinced I want messed with. Seriously heavy image and effective as hell.

I actually like it as it is. Conveys that desperate, ghostlike feeling of famine. Amazing what we're capable of when we just stop thinking and just do. Nice job.

what do you mean?
I've had this image in mind even before I made the Shepherd painting, way back to january 2005 [link]
Never got to draw it until now though. Almost every detail was planned, so I wasn't really improvising
thanks btw :)
